TBS3102 5 Crystal Phoenix/Smartmouse Card Reader

TBS3102 is a simple but powerful card reader tool for reading most ISO7816 smartcard. The card reader supports both Phoenix and Smartmouse mode and it has only one USB port for both power supply from PC’s USB connection and data communication. The computer will look this card reader as COM interface device after installing the driver. TBS3102 supports up to five crystal frequencies, 3.3V and 5V card voltage and Phoenix/Smartmouse working mode. Both Windows driver and Linux driver is ready.

I started getting BSODs on Win7 after installing the drivers. The BSODs only stopped after I disabled the devices and unplugged it from the USB please update the drivers!

I believe you already know that BSODs is caused by the driver, which might not compatible with your Win7 OS. In fact, the driver we release in download centre is a public driver of FTDI chipset. So, I think you can search a propriate driver of FTDT chipset for your OS from internet.

Thanks for asking about TBS3102 phoenix card reader. In theory, yes, TBS3102 can support Viaccess 4 card, but it depends on if you know how to set it up. It is said phoenix card reader requires different software to support different smart card. Phoenix card reader and CI+CAM module are just different way to read smart card. Phoenix card reader can work with some PC TV tuner card which has no CI port, TBS6922 for example.
