I have a requirement for recording 25 satellite channels 24/7 for one whole year. Purpose is monitoring view/review search based on time of day/thumb nails etc. I came across this product. Now I feel I can do it economically. My plan is to record RAW transport streams from 4 transponders to DVR for as long as it fill up the hard disk like 10days or so, then copy the data to an LTO-5 tape and start recording again. That way I am hoping I can hold the 25channels D1 resolution for one whole year. Will it work please comment?

lots of customers use 6984 for record TS data,but most of them use it under linux,because linux is more stable than windows.

The card reader must be purchased separately. You can buy TBS3102 Phoenix card reader, or Smargo Card reader.
