TBS 6981 card is the updated version of TBS6980. Compared to TBS 6980, TBS 6981 card is more stable and powerful.

PCI-E DVB-S2 Dual Tuner TV card supports dual DVB-S2 TV channels receiving synchronously, which enables you to watch channel from one transporder/satellite while recording another channel from another transporder/satellite. Or you can use one channel for data download while watching TV in another channel in the same time.
TBS6981 is ideal for building HTPC under Linux MythTV, VDR, XBMC and Windows 7 Media Center.
TBS6981 is compatible with Freesat.

Works with DirecTV?

I use DirecTV in the United States, and my receiver boxes all have access cards which are required for the receiver to work. Is this card capable of working on such a network?

Using more than 1

Hi, Can you tell me how much it would strain, say a quad core server, to use 4 or 5 of these tuners all at the same time?
