1. Introduction
TBS has developed two new DVB S2 Cards with CI and CAM interface. One is with USB interface while another is with PCI express interface. TBS5980 USB DVB-S2 TV Q-Box CI is one of our latest products for watching and recording digital satellite TV on PC. It is equipped with a CAM (Conditional Access Module) port at the end of the box for plugging CAM, which ensures you to connect a CAM with a compatible Pay-TV Smartcard subscription to enjoy Pay-TV channels. TBS6928 is a PCI-Express interface DVB-S2 TV Tuner CI Card which supports watching digital satellite TV or downloading data from satellite in your computer. The CI slot on the board allows CAM insertion for watching payTV channels.

How to scan DVB-T2 signal on MCE when DVB-T cards installed along with DVB-T2 cards
Windows Media Center not detecting DVB-T2 Channels with other DVB-T cards installed on computer. If you are using Media Center as your PVR, it cannot currently distinguish between DVB-T and DVB-T2 tuners .When Media Center first does a scan for channels, it will see DVB-T tuners from the other cards. Depending on which tuner it decides to pick first to scan for channels, it may pick the non-DVB-T2 tuner. When it does a scan for channels, it will not therefore see the Freeview DVB-T2 HD channels. Three of the four transponder streams transmitted by ATLANTIC BIRD 1 MIS compatible receivers or PC cards will choose the streams best suited in the circumstance, depending on the signal level at the reception site. In this example, viewers in the center of beam with the maximum level of signal quality can watch LA7′s 3D test transmissions, whilst viewers in fringe areas of beam with a less good signal level can only view the HD channels and viewers outside beam will only get channels in SD. MIS compatible satellite receivers will choose the stream according to the signal level available. With the change from DVB-S to DVBS2, a more efficient method was created that permits more channels to be carried over one and the same transponder. This increase in efficiency is due in large part to the significant improvement in error correction so that fewer error correction bits need to be transmitted. How to Set a Twin LNB to two Satellites?
Twin LNB also called Dual LNB, is a low noise block downcoverter that contains two satellite transmission receiving modules in a single enclosure. The Dual LNB is designed to receive two separate satellite signals from the overhead satellite’s transponders and transmit them to a waiting satellite receiver. The switching between the two satellites is handled by a DiSEqC switch that must be installed between the dish and the receiver.
